Click on deed to access photo of document. Georgia This Indenture made this the tenth day of December A.D. Eighteen hundred forty four Between Charles W Morgan of the county and state aforesaid of the one part and John W Morgan of the same place of the other part witnesseth that the said Charles W Morgan for and in consideration of the sum of thirty nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John W at and before the sealing & delivering of this presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge have bargained sold & conveyed and do by these presence bargain sell & convey unto the said John W. Morgan his heirs & assigns the several Lots or parcels of Lands Namely Lot No seventy one (71) containing two hundred two & a half acres Lot No seventy two (72) containing two hundred two & a half acres- one hundred one & a quarter acres being Easte half of Lot No. fifty seven (57) also forty acres being a part of the North East corner of Lot No. fifty Eight (58) making in the aggregate five hundred and forty six & a quarter (546 ¼) acres more or less all being and lying in the twenty sixth (26) district formerly Lee but now Sumter County to have and to hold the said bargained premises unto him the John W Morgan his heirs & assigns together with all and singulars the rights numbers and appurtenences thereunto belonging or in any wise appenturning in fee Simple and will warrant and forever defend the right & titled thereof against myself my heirs Executors administrators and assigns and against all other persons claiming this and in witness whereof the said Charles W Morgan hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year above written in presence of Test Elias D Hightower Georgia Personally came before me Elias D. Hightower and after being duly sworn deposeth and saith that he saw Charles W Morgan sign seal and deliver the within deed for the purposes therein mentioned and that deponant & subscribe the same as a witness and saw Larkin Glover do so likewise sworn to and subscribe before me this 11th December 1844.
